Chicken Squares

This is one of mine and Drew's favorite meals, thanks to our good friends the Maders. It is really simple and uses ingredients you have on hand.

Ingredients:
1 (3 oz) package of cream cheese, softened
3 tbsp butter, melted
2 cup chicken, cooked and shredded (or 2 5 oz. cans chicken, drained)
2 tbsp. milk
1 tbsp. onion (or chives), chopped
1 (8 oz) can pillsbury crescent rolls
3/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
spices (dried): garlic powder, parsley, Mrs. Dash, salt & pepper

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
This amount makes four chicken squares.

In a medium bowl, blend cream cheese and 2 Tbsp. of butter until smooth.
Add chicken, milk, and onions, Sprinkle spices (to your prefrence), and mix well.

Seperate crescent rolls into 4 rectangles; firmly press perforations to seal.
Spoon 1/4 cup of meat mixture into center of each rectangle.

For each rectangle, pull four corners of dough to top center of chicken mixture and twist firmly. (I just fold them together).
Brush tops with remaining 1 Tbsp. melted butter.

Sprinkle with seasoned bread crumbs.

Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.

ENJOY!

Jen, So glad y'all like them! It's one of our favorites too. I believe there's a typo in the NWYM cookbook. Pretty sure one package of cream cheese is 8 oz. That's my bad...sorry.
